“Paranormal Mpreg Fiction Fancy Knotting”

In this A/B/O universe, there are no shifters. There are no females. There are Alphas who are in charge, Betas who are barren but are allowed to hold jobs and adopt children (usually Beta and Omega children), and Omegas who are the lowest of the low and whose sole purpose, it seems, is to be mated to Alphas and be good little breeders.
”Fine,Young Master. It just hurts,Them kicking.” He lies,Smirking slightly to fool Ciel into thinking he’s ok. Ciel buys it,and groans out as he grabs Sebastian’s shoulders and leans halfway into him,Swaying his hips back and forth. Sebastian rides out the contraction with him,Then  straightens him up and leads him back around the room,Completely ignoring the growing pressure in his anus. Suddenly,Ciel gasps and grabs Sebastian’s arm,Nearly pulling him over.
However, as I thought about the extra “hitch” (or lack of one) in this story a bit more, if I think of omega with a penis but no balls who takes on typically female roles, “male” might not immediately jump to my mind, but it is a very gender fluid character.  So it took a little time to wrap my mind around, but I am warming up to viewing this story as a cool traditional gender bending/more gender fluid setting, almost like a paranormal transgender romance.  If the omega identifies as male, even if he has some characteristics more often associated traditionally feminine traits, it’s still a male/male story to me, perhaps just with a nice bit of transgender/gender bending flavor to challenge my assumptions.
This story is about childhood friends, Luke and Adian. They are wolves and packmates — Best friends. Of course life gets in the way and eventually they reconnect as adults. Luke wanted to rekindle their friendship and Adian is all for it.
Suppressants were a requirement for all omegas but they were especially helpful to athletes, who had to compete certain months out of the year. Though they weren’t exactly a cure all, they gave a solid 9 months or so before an omega would have to go through heat again. It wasn’t healthy to wait much longer than that, and Yaku’s time was just about up. Besides waiting longer than the 9 months usually meant unpleasant side effects.
Writing from both the cutting edge of scientific discovery and the front-lines of elite athletic performance, National Magazine Award-winning science journalist Alex Hutchinson presents a revolutionary account of the dynamic and controversial new science of endurance.
Cam was just looking for a little fast cash. Stuck at his parents’ house after a nasty breakup, he needed the huge payout offered by Cain Enterprises. Even if it meant being mated by a devastatingly handsome–and devastatingly straight–alpha.

I looked down and saw that my first child was a little girl. I softly rocked her to try and stop her crying; then I heard sirens getting closer and closer. I then saw bright blue flashing lights outside my window. They finally arrived. But I was mad they were late, I was just relieved that my baby was okay. My little baby girl, Charlotte. Charlotte Marie Davis.

“I still shouldn’t have had to find out through the grapevine.” The Jedi padawan rolled his eyes, giving Hobbs a small smile before patting the other on the upper arm and moving around him to reach the Ghost, sand blowing up around him as it seemed that one of Atollo’s sand storms were moving in on them.
“Okay, again, deep breath, and I want you to push as hard as you possibly can, okay? The head is already starting to show, and it won’t be long before you have this little guy in your arms! Okay, here we go, push!” Kim said excitedly, her eyes bright.
Pansy chooses that moment to enter the room, her hands full of books and magazines. She walked and sat the items down on my bedside table before taking her place back at my side. Through the whole process she wore a neutral expression, that had me fighting back the urge to shake her until she came back to her senses but I ignored it.
At the moment they were taking a well deserved break from all the research. Something that made Sam and Castiel a little nervous. Dean could say he was fine, but they both knew that the mark was affecting him more than he let on. However, they had read every book that Men of Letters had and were left with hoping Charlie found something. Castiel sighed as he sat with the older Winchester trying to understand the show that Dean insisted he watched, something about dragons and nudity.
Was the author ever gonna tell us what Jason’s power is? Don’t hint at something for that long and don’t reveal it to your readers. What are you waiting for? Book 2? Where the main character will obviously be Abel? What is the big freaking deal about Jason other than his spring horniness? I’m pissed. I sat through 200something pages and I still don’t fugging know.
With a scream, he bore down as hard as he could. The baby slid out into the doctor’s hands, followed by birth fluids. A last, small push and the afterbirth was delivered. Black spots dotted the blond’s vision and his chest heaved as he gasped for air. His whole body trembled.
Myoregon wrote: “All the MPREGs that I’ve read have the book ending with the couple having the baby. Would love to read more books where they have the baby in the middle of the book and we can experience the coupl…”

All these questions are answered, and the story is well finished off, including an epilogue which ties up some of the back story. I have to admit, although I loved Tyson, I didn’t really warm up to Amante at the start but, as the story unfolds and his position is explained, he becomes more ‘human’ and likable. The story is a good one and moves at a quick pace, but it’s not a long book.
