Omegaverse fic is a sub-genre of fanfic that became popular in the fandom from mid-2010 onwards, and is now found in many fandoms. The genre overlays canine-type characteristics on people, including pack hierarchies, the idea that receptive sex partners may go into heat and the canine characteristics of penis’ having a bulbous knot at its base. The genre is also referred to as A/B/O fic after the Alpha/Beta/Omega divisions of pack hierarchies.
The pressure suddenly released and a gush of hot fluids poured out of his anus. A contraction came shortly after that and he moaned loudly, gripping the arms of the wheelchair tightly. The paramedic and the nurse wheeled him out of the classroom and down the hall. A small medic ship was outside, waiting for him.
This was a straight-forward, male/male romance story of an abused human omega sold and rescued by an attentive, caring Alpha werewolf. It’s set in a twist on an “omegaverse” universe where male Alphas knot and impregnate Omegas. The plot was simple, following the omega from abuse to life and love in a new pack. The theme of rescue was fine, but the characters were a bit flat.  While the chemistry between them had some sizzle overall it wasn’t particularly enticing to me.
There were also some heavy political undertones as well that I an not sure I appreciated much. I read romance to escape reality and when that shitty reality leaks into my fantasy world in the name of a toy company it turned me off to the rest of the story.
Some of Specter’s best work! With the excitement of a bootcamp competition that feels like the Hunger Games and the additional sizzle of a secret romance, this book moves at a steady pace. The mystery of the pregnancy and looming threat of those who would use the knowledge of it for gain creates an air of tension. I really liked that we saw everything from Issac’s POV since we had a gay-for-you angle. The way that played out was really believable and even the pregnancy felt realistic (with the usual suspension of disbelief). It felt like a longer, fuller story than the page count would lead you to believe. It was unusual to see an omega who was “all man” instead of the tiny, twinky character that we usually see. All in all, a lot to recommend this one!
Knowing what he needed to do, he gripped his knees and pulled them up, groaning in pain with a new contraction coming on. He bore down and put his chin onto his chest, teeth grinding to keep himself from screaming in pain. It hardly helped, and he yelled out anyway while he struggled to push.
He’s heavily pregnant, all round with Kylo’s child, sat quietly in his holding cell with metal cuffs around his wrists. And as Leia watches the security feed of Hux’s cell, she can almost feel Ben nearby. She blinks slowly and listens to the Force, hearing a child’s laughter and Ben’s voice, his own laughter, Hux’s voice alongside it all.
Baby Mine pt.1 (Het Mpreg Birth)The morning of October 16th had started of as any other morning.  For the first time in the past few weeks, I had managed to get a full night’s sleep without worrying about Tom. Of course, I shouldn’t have worried; after all he’s done this twice before, his pregnancy had been textbook so far and between the two of us, I’ve lost count of how many babies we’ve delivered.  What’s one more?
Is it ever possible to rip happiness from disaster?Jude Now I’m out of the military, I want a quiet life. A nearby forest where my wolf can run and hunt, and a wood-shop where I can work with the timber I feel an affinity for. I definitely don’t want a mate. And if I did, it wouldn&…
I thought the book was well written. Different in a good way. Loved the characters. Had light steamy spots. Kits mom pushing him to groups and church, because she thinks him liking dragons is a sin. Which the group he gets into, the leader Jackie is evil, wanting to turn all against dragons. You wonder why the hatred and all becomes out at the end. Very good story. Kept me reading till the end. Kit and Red Dragon happy ending.
In many ways, this reminded me of a “Stormy Glenn”/Siren Erotic Romance type of erotic story, which usually focus on plenty of explicit heat and conflict with quick moving plots, rapidly developing relationships and simplistic dialog.  This book has better dialog but much less drama, plot, and relationship conflict. Overall, it was a pleasantly diverting novella, providing a bit of knotting and potential Mpreg (male pregnancy) in a sweet, short Alpha and Omega story. The sizzle was present but relatively tame, punctuating an enjoyable if not overly heated quick and comforting read.
Castiel smiled as he held the celestial being in his arms and he felt his grace melt when those blue orbs met his. He held the being close to him for a moment before slowly handing it over to Dean, who was just staring with wide, adoring eyes.
Limited time only, on sale for $0.99! Suni has practically everything he could want in life: money, freedom, and hot sexual flings. But the one thing he can’t seem to get is an alpha who can handle his wayward spirit. That seems to be something so rare he’d have to wish for it… Su…
Completely stuck where he was, with a newborn crying at his side, a huge egg in his anus trying to painfully come out, and a third baby in his birth canal trying to crown at the same time, he felt as though things couldn’t get any worse.
As the latest pain eased from her body, Greta loosened her grip on her husband’s hand and leaned against his chest. It had already been over seven hours since she’d gone into labor and she was ready for it to be over with as soon as possible. Her body and the merbabe it held seemed to have other plans though, as neither seemed willing to end this.
A masterful true crime account of the Golden State Killer – the elusive serial rapist turned murderer who terrorized California for over a decade – from Michelle McNamara, the gifted journalist who died tragically while investigating the case.
Michael turned to Gabriel and Lucifer, who each all knew what to do. They were going to have to hold Dean down. Gabriel went to hold Dean’s legs; Lucifer tended to hold Dean’s wings still while Michael held Dean’s arms down.
“Oooh, the handsome guy next door has a new Carrier.” One of the orange Alpha’s four Carriers was perched atop a tree, peering into the neighboring habitat through a small rectangular hole. He slipped down the tree to join the other three below.
The ice rink was empty this time of night, except for one lone young man standing on the edge and staring at the cold ice making up the ice rink’s floor. His thoughts were swirling and his eyes betrayed his worry to any that would happen upon him. He was expecting someone special to arrive any time, but it wasn’t for what the other thought.
I rarely give a review but I wanted to let people know about this particular story. I absolutely LOVED it. I couldn’t help but fall in love with Cameron from the beginning of the tale. I wasn’t too crazy about Harris at first but grew to love him as well. Marco made a great villain but I wish that he had been more of a presence throughout the story.
I am really a fan of Aiden Bates but I struggled with this one. I think it could have been about 50 pages shorter if you cut out the constant theme of “you quit”, no you quit, no really you quit, but seriously you should quit”. The back and forth on that one subject between Trent and Mal almost made me want to stop reading. However, the ending redeemed the crazy back and forth and the last 25% of the book was worth hanging in for.
This is probably my favorite story in the series, because I just LOVED Pippen and I wanted him to have a happy ending with his pack and family so badly! I’m such a sucker for the character who had a rough past and doesn’t feel like he’s deserving of a HEA or having something for himself, and I loved reading about Pippen trying to come to terms with him wanting something and someone not meaning weakness.
Loved this entry in the OmegaDate series! Indigo (Indy) is a sweet, spiritual Omega with a history of past domestic abuse. Aaron is an Alpha who doesn’t believe in fated connections, spirits, and such. Aaron is a bit rough around the edges, and isn’t looking for anything long term. Aaron isn’t a bad guy; he’s just set in the beliefs he grew up with, and it’s obvious he never had the close relationship with his family that Indy has with his mother and sister. He seems like a bit of a self-absorbed jerk, just looking for a lay, at first. His growth and development were a big part of what made the book so enjoyable for me. Being with Indy works magic on him! There is a bit of angst, and of course the brief discussion of previous abuse, but it is not overwrought or detailed. I wanted to see Dominic get his comeuppance and for him to see what he missed out on, but it was enough for Indigo to get his HEA and never think about Dominic again.
