“Mpreg Enthusiasts Fancy Knotting”

Good introduction to characters and plot. It also includes warnings such as alpha, beta and omega dynamics, heats, knotting and mpreg along with trigger warnings for physical, emotional and sexual abuse. They are in there so if those are triggers for you this might not be the book for you.
Anyway, yes, I roll my eyes at some pregnancy tropes, the same way I roll my eyes at some bad-ass Harry tropes, but mpreg is simply one in a host of fanfic clichés that seem perfectly normal to me. Some I like, some I don’t. It’s entirely unremarkable. And I have read stories in which mpreg figures as a plot point and still enjoyed them. But as a general rule, I avoid it, just as I avoid fpreg, just as I avoid kidfic – unless I trust the author. At that point, anything goes.
Rocco Shores alpha father is dying, and tells him on his deathbed that he must mate an omega to become the new alpha of the pack. Rocco is dating Skye, but breaks up with him because he’s a boring, self centered omega, who only wants the position as his glorified mate. Rocco wants a true mate he can love. Jarvis Blake is a jealous, brutish pack member who wants to be Alpha, and insensitively challenges for position on the day of Roccos father’s funeral. Rocco’ s sister Luna, convinces him to find his mate on internet service Omega Date. Kade Sinclair is a city omega who’s overworked with a day job, and working evenings at an animal shelter. At home he’s the devoted owner of 3 rescue dogs he loves. Rocco and Kade meet, realize they are fated mates, and fall in love (the sex is hot and steamy also). Not to spoil the story, but Skye, still wanting to be Rocco’ s mate, drops a bomb shell, devastating Kade. Jarvis issues a fighting challenge to Rocco for alpha leadership. Rocco is trying to determine if he even wants to be Alpha. Kade and Rocco have many decisions to ponder for their future in this fast paced, well written book, with characters clearly defined.
So there you have it.  This is why we like MPREG.  There are about as many reasons to like it as there are MPREG fics to read, so if you don’t see your reason for enjoying the subgenre above, feel free to comment below!  Let your voice be heard.  Shake off the shame of reading something ‘weird,’ embrace that a lot of people out here enjoy this obscure thing that you also enjoy, and tell us why you like the thing!  Why do YOU read MPREG?
To be fair this is one of the better m-pregs I’ve read. The sex scenes were decent and the characters, the actual male ones, were alright. But even with that, I still didn’t like it lol. Maybe I’ve been too warped by other m/m romances, and maybe due to the reviews, my expectations were too high, but this book just didn’t hit the mark for me. I doubt I’ll be reading part 2, Abel’s story.
His comfort only went so far. His Alpha was telling him that you could do something called ‘swimming’ in the big hole of water that he called a ‘pond’. He’d never heard of either of those things before, and the thought of going into a giant pit of water for fun freaked him out.
But four years after a night of red-hot passion forced Ch…ad into making a dream-shattering choice, Josh Bennett has become a household name while Chad lives hand-to-mouth slinging drinks at the local sports bar. Worse yet, Josh is coming back to town to attend Ashely’s wedding — a wedding at which Chad must make an appearance, even if it means exposing the real reason he called off their romance all those years ago.
All the MPREGs that I’ve read have the book ending with the couple having the baby. Would love to read more books where they have the baby in the middle of the book and we can experience the couple raising the baby. Or would like to see sequel’s that involve raising the baby. Does anyone have any suggestions? I think I’ve read most every book listed on this site though.
Emerging Secret (Mpreg) Chapter 1 Part 1               Jim sat at his desk quietly. He felt the baby move down under the edge of the desk; she was getting so big. He was getting so big. He was 8 and a half months along, but she had dropped a few weeks prior. It had been hard hiding such a noticeable secret, especially a secret that gets bigger as time goes by. Jim wriggled around at his desk subtly, trying to maneuver himself at the desk so his bulge wouldn’t be pressing against the edge of the wood. It didn’t help.
The blurb for this fired my imagination from the start. In a world where omegas are second-class citizens with few civil rights and almost no protections under the law. Bring it on I thought. I’m ready.
I always enjoy this author but I’m really loving this series. The prequel really sets up the premise and is well worth the read. I can’t wait to see what’s next. Maybe a book with Fox and Ryan??? So many possibilities. 💟
He understood why, that Kanan wanted to keep Ezra comfortable, to make him feel safe and was going to do his out most to protect his mental and physical safety at all times. But he was still insulted.
“Nngh..”Francis trailed off in a low moan, sinking into the waters, his belly, full and hard. He was sighing a little when suddenly, another wave of pain hit. Curling his toes and bucking his hips wildly, he gave a hoarse cry as the force of the contraction ejected the entire baby’s head from his aching body. “Hhnnngh..b-burning…”
Genosha has been a great Empire more than three centuries; a place for humans and mutants to live as equals. Now though, the risk of civil war and Treason from the eastern provinces is a threat to its existence. Therefore The king decides it is for the best that his alpha princes enter the ‘Rivals’, a series of competitions in which the future queen/king is chosen. But before that, all princes must choose a noble omega from an influent family. This Rival is perhaps one of the most crucial ones; As Erik, Logan and Azazel have to fight for the diamond throne. Yet of course, some plans venture into the unexpected game of destiny.
But the little monster kept attacking me. I sighed and gently rubbed my nine month stomach as I walked. However, a couple minutes later I a sharp pain lash through my abdomen, causes me to double over; I clutched my stomach tightly and I let a small whimper escape my lips. My eyes widened as soon as the pain vanished. I just had a contraction… the baby was coming! I had to hurry home and call for an ambulance. But it was happening too quickly; with each contraction the pain would intensify, and I wanted to cry out in pain. However I stopped myself, I didn’t want to wake any neighbors from their sleep (if they were).
Prosecutor Kris Jameson is ready to call off his search for true love. Abandoned at birth and raised by humans, Kris seems destined to repeat the cycle of abandonment, falling over and over again for self-centered alphas that won’t commit. Deciding that OmegaDate—a glorified hook-up app as far as Kris is concerned—has brought nothing but grief to his life, Kris decides to delete the app for good; but not before a message from a sweet and gorgeous alpha comes his way, prompting Kris to give the app one final try. And though first date with fellow attorney Jax Hollister begins with intense mutual attraction, it soon turns disastrous, leaving them both trying to forget that the encounter ever happened.
”Ciel,I need you to breathe. You are in labor,You are 5cm dilated. However,Your water has not broken yet. To speed things a long,I must break your water. Prop your legs up on these pillows,If you please.” He says before reaching behind Ciel and grabbing two pillows. He gently lifts Ciel’s legs and slides the pillows under them,Propping them up before getting up and searching the drawers for anything he can sterilize to break Ciel’s water.
In the end, I felt there was a cliffhanger. With how the author ended it I felt like someone hit me in the face with a wooden paddle; with WTF on the tip of my tongue. I can only assume Rian is going to help Taryn in his own way with the Pack War. I guess I will have to see if the next book in the series goes in this direction. If so I will give it a try; if not then unfortunately I must say I cannot go further with this series.
Which makes it so sad that I didn’t like this story as much as I thought I would. This is now the 2nd book this week that I’ve read by authors I love (and would follow to the end of the earth) where the story didn’t work for me. The first book was Wheels Up by Annabeth Albert. My issues are kind of the same with both books.
