Jack swung down hard with the axe splitting the piece of wood almost perfectly in two. He liked chopping wood, it helped him forget. Forget things like dropping out of his residency to help care for his elderly parents way up in the mountains. At least up here there was not a hospital or even a clinic around for miles to remind him of his abandon career of becoming a doctor. Now that his parents finally past on Jack was left with a stalled life and a mountain home that was not selling. As he placed another log on the chopping block he saw a snow flake fall on his hand, great he thought another storm! There goes my chances of getting into town today.
The one thing that stands out the most is the amazing world Leta Blake has created. It’s a dystopian-like society with very strict rules. What really impressed me was that the author took the time to think of the effects of male pregnancy. In fact, a lot of the storyline is in regards to the biology of humans with a wolf-like mentality. The reader is not left taking things as a fact but given the reasons.
“He has gone into the second stage of labor sooner than I thought.” Kim’s voice seemed suddenly very distant, and I tried to focus on the warmth of Pansy’s hand in her voice as she continued to say, “The thing that worried me is that he is only seven centimeter, and using a spell or potion to help him dilate could endanger him and the baby.” She said gravely.
As Jack turned around to grab his things and head inside he saw someone in the distance looking out over the grand view that his property provided. More lost hikers he thought. He started to walk toward the hiker figuring he better tell them to get going unless they expect on being stuck in a storm with him. It would not be t
Few months later Derek, safe and sound, returns to Beacon Hills to find his Stiles round and glowing, carrying a second heartbeat under his heart. Stiles is mad with him for exactly 30 minutes before they are cuddling on the couch, Derek admiring Stiles’ belly and wiping his tears away.
For example, on several occasions the omega did something the alpha would likely find very questionable and/or dangerous.  When the alpha discovers the omega’s questionable activity, he simply asks the omega who immediately explains it away truthfully.  The alpha immediately moves on, even though that level of deep trust between the characters really had not really been established. These were opportunities for some drama and intrigue, or at the very least building some real emotional and relationship ties between two characters who lusted after each other, saw some very good in one another, but also had every reason to distrust their prospective partner. Repeatedly flying through huge potential conflicting issues with a quick, trusting sentence or two just made whole aspects of the plot and relationship rather flat and unappealing.

Walking down the sidewalk, Dionysus was used to getting curious looks. He’d yet to see a human with hair as long as his, let alone the same peachy, strawberry-ish tone to it. He didn’t mind the odd looks from the humans, but their gazes were no longer on his hair but on something far more prominent than that.
In a secluded school, omegas are given the best education far away from the dangers of alphas. One good natured alpha gives a short presentation at the school. Student Lee Taemin can’t help the feelings he develops for Lee Jinki, and he has a number of questions to ask.
Serione was in what you’d call a unique relationship. He had a genetic mutation where his body allowed him to carry the child of two fathers, and while it doesn’t really affect his daily life, it does put a damper in his sex life because due to his condition, he had to take twice as much birth control pills as anyone else due to the fact that the mutation made him super fertile, regardless if he was ovulating or not.
I’m not really sure if that does…I don’t really think it does qualify. Does he give his seed to basically feed the egg? Because if his seed was required in order for the egg to be formed, then it would count as mpreg I think. However, if it is just to nourish the egg similar to say food or water for humans, then no, not mpreg.
“Push now!” Joel urged the man to push as the egg slid out halfway before slipping back in when the man stopped pushing. He spread the man’s legs to it’s furthest extent and looked at the egg while the man struggled to push it out.
Why I read this book: This week is Out Of Your Comfort Zone, and I had just snagged this one when it was free. I wasn’t sure what I would read for this week and one of our reviewers pointed out it was mpreg which isn’t really my cup of tea. I also saw the note that is had warnings for physical, emotional, and sexual abuse, all of which are hot buttons for me.
I enjoyed reading this book . I also enjoyed listening to it . The characters was great. I loved the romance . Mark struggling with his insecurities and up bringiing. Zeke carefree and living life. Both dominant males . My favorite part is on the airplane when Zeke first see Mark. Mark is not receptive to him at first. I enjoyed the narrator as well . The voices was exactly what I expected . I’m looking forward to reading Asher’s story. I like to see how that turns out .
The poltergeist was present and walking beside him, and though the black haired male couldn’t be seen by mere human eyes, the alien could very well see him strolling beside him. As excited as Dionysus was for getting to go out so often with the other male, today he wasn’t so sure. He’d been even more uncomfortable than he’d been through the whole pregnancy, his belly swollen so taut and round he thought he’d burst if he got any bigger.
There are also similarities with BDSM AUs, where the characters are Doms (sometimes called “Tops”), Subs, or (sometimes) Switches. Helenish’s Stargate Atlantis BDSM AU Take Clothes Off As Directed offers a dissection of this trope[8] — as a Sub in the military, John is subjected to harassment and insubordination. Parallels can be drawn between the role of Subs in society and that of women, LGBT/queer people or minorities to examine prejudice and discrimination caused by “designationism.”
I just loved this book! In fact, although I originally got it through the Kindle Unlimited plan I bought it so I can keep it forever after reading it. Peter and Nitro are both wonderful characters and the plot is highly entertaining, with both fun and dramatic incidents. If you like werewolf romance this is the book for you! I especially like the fact that Nitro turned out to be such a kind and caring mate. It did kind of puzzle me how Nitro was able to find Peter after he took a long cab ride out of the city, but sometimes you just have to suspend your disbelief. 😉 This seems to be the only book by this author on Amazon, but I would be excited to read more by her.
In this world, there are three classifications (all men)…alpha, beta, and omegas. They are not true shifters as they don’t shift into animals. Omegas are the lowest of the classes…basically incubators for the children. They have zero rights or identities. They’re basically slaves.
Ever since he’d made the decision to keep her, despite the fact that he’d been forced to have her against his will, he barely got any sleep. And his performance as a spy was suffering for it. He now got killed more often than usual and discovered more easily when disguised or cloaked. Several times both he and Sniper had been caught sleeping on the job by both enemies and allies alike. He just was not as alert as he knew he should be. His team were losing more and more battles and they’d come to resent him & Sniper for it. And it was all because of that noisy, screaming, attention seeking, pint sized brat, who insisted he get up at half past three in the morning to feed her.
Dionysus was too focused on trying to get the eggs out to care what Noir’s thoughts were and he bore down over and over, the eggs crowning and slipping inside. His passage was stretched and lubricated with the slimy goo and now the eggs were being pushed out further each time.
Stiles and Derek are getting along, but they’re not a family, and they’re sure as hell not mates. Christ, they’re basically just two stupid guys who happened to get pregnant because of a full moon and sheer dumb luck.
