“Omegaverse Trope Transformative Works”

The Syngnathidae family of fish has the unique characteristic of a highly derived form of male brood care referred to as “male pregnancy”.[2] The family is highly diverse, containing around 300 different species of fish. Included in Syngnathidae are seahorses, the pipefish, and the weedy and leafy seadragons. The males of some of these species possess a brood pouch on the trunk or tail; in other species, the eggs are merely attached to the male’s trunk or tail when the female lays them. Although biologists’ definitions of pregnancy differ somewhat, all members of the family are considered by ichthyologists to display male pregnancy, even those without an external brood pouch.
Emerging Secret (Mpreg) Chapter 1 Part 1               Jim sat at his desk quietly. He felt the baby move down under the edge of the desk; she was getting so big. He was getting so big. He was 8 and a half months along, but she had dropped a few weeks prior. It had been hard hiding such a noticeable secret, especially a secret that gets bigger as time goes by. Jim wriggled around at his desk subtly, trying to maneuver himself at the desk so his bulge wouldn’t be pressing against the edge of the wood. It didn’t help.
Every author deserves credit for the extreme effort that goes into writing a story. The concept was good, I read the blurb and bought it. Sadly, it was just blah. There was shifting which I like, but the characters, esp Jake, weren’t developed to where I cared about them. And was it Christmas? I missed that.
It was difficult making contact with him initially. He had won the election and was the new Iowa senator, so it was no easy task to contact him directly. Luckily, I still had some friends and contacts in his inner circle who made sure that my letter was delivered into Harding’s hands personally. I didn’t say what the issue was in the letter, lest it fall into the wrong hands. But I did manage to get some face time with him.
It is just so much easier to mock something than to really engage in it. Like, how easy to point out the mpreg trope and be like, “Look at this crazy thing these crazy people are doing.” But mpreg is a really poignant commentary on how the biological fact that women carry children influences every aspect of female life in society. Tweak it so that men can get pregnant, too, and watch how things change: watch how the men are the ones now struggling with the questions that society so seldom demands of them. It breaks my heart, what so many mpreg fics reveal about how girls feel about their place in society. I mean, in Omegaverse, frequently the pregnancy-bearing gender is literally a prisoner of its reproductive function, lamenting the inability to ever lead a life with full freedom of choice, and, in fact, tasked with limiting exposure to the impregnating gender because, hey, they are not to blame if they’re tempted by the irresistible invitation of a baby-depository in their vicinity. His belly was so big it made walking awkward and he had to waddle everywhere he went and he blushed whenever someone looked his way. Ikki didn’t care though as he loved Kyo even being so pregnant, knowing that they were going to be parents soon. Just a couple more months, he thought with a slight smile as the two walked (Or one walked while the other waddled) down the street and back home.
Lucifer stared at the little one in his arms, “And here we have a boy,” he said as he stared into the huge blue eyes. This one had a little bit of shorter hair and it was colored a dark blonde. The grace slickened wings curled around his body as well but they were so unique. They were a deep ebony with bright, shining streaks of silver through the edges and creases.
Aaron is a skeptic, he believes in hard facts and science, you would think this fundamental difference between him and Indigo would make a relationship impossible. However, fate has plans for them. Almost from the start, Aaron finds himself drawn to Indigo, and vice versa. Through some ups and downs, some steamy sex, and a brief breakup, this book will pull on your heart strings, make your heart ache, get you a little hot under the color, and make you grin from ear to ear!
A quick read for a novel, this story has a nice range of sweet but intriguing, surprising, and entertaining scenes centered on an arranged match between a city Alpha with a demanding, sophisticated, high-powered business family and a country omega with a loving, domestic family and a shadowed secret. The author starts with an intriguing and eventually dramatic introduction and then weaves scenes of past secrets and yearning dreams into the story of two separated would-be mates. I especially appreciated the depth of the supporting characters, from competitively friendly lawyers, demanding and over-protective fathers, wise and doting mothers, to conflicted music teachers.
Once the romance started I was less bothered by Jason. He fell hard for Mac, which I questioned since they’d only just met, but Mac was cute and “the alpha, Abel, was tolerable. Way to set up a part two btw.

He reached into a small pouch he kept tied to his widened waist where he kept a knife, and cut the cord to his baby and tied it off tightly. His stomach suddenly again and he groaned while he kept his baby in his arms, and started to bear down. The pressure in his anus grew even worse.
The pain was starting to leave Dean but also the warmth was and Dean felt strangely empty. He licked his lips as his eyes set on Castiel, who was practically sitting on Dean’s legs, his hands slowly pulling out of the bright, shining stomach.
