Nonetheless, that morning I lay in bed, not willing yet to get up…until I hear a sigh from Tom next to me. It’s not much, but I can tell something’s different.  It’s deeper and laced with the slightest hint of pain, followed by breathing that’s slow, even, and intense.  Turning over to look at him, he’s sitting up in bed, his hands ghosting over his rounded stomach as he keeps an intense gaze with the wall.
As he started to bear down again, he gripped his legs this time and spread them even wider, throwing his head back and yelling in pain while he bore down against the pain. He didn’t understand why this was happening to him, he’d taken such good care of his pregnancy and the eggs and babies he carried.
I’ll just save that since I am trying to write a oneshot based off a larger story using this verse as I’ve read a few that I quite enjoy. This was really helpful at explaining this. Thanks for putting this together!
Dionysus was too focused on trying to get the eggs out to care what Noir’s thoughts were he bore down over and over, the eggs crowning and slipping inside. His passage was stretched and lubricated with the slimy goo and now the eggs were being pushed out further each time.
I love A.M. Arthur books and so when I saw this new direction for her (Omegaverse) it was a no brainer. I knew I’d be a buyer. She is a great writer with characters that the reader connects with. The romance is usually there, and the sexy times are hot. And this book has those things. You will really love the alpha, Tarek. His beta best friends are great. Omega Braun, while braver than you’d expect an omega to be, makes some really stupid decisions but you will still be pulling for him.
Joel cleaned the second egg and placed it beside the other one and returned to his position in between the man’s legs, holding his legs further and further apart as he saw the tip of the third egg start to crown. This one was off-white and had little brown specks on it. He grinned as he remembered this being one of the largest eggs, and he noticed the rim of the man’s opening try to stretch across the egg as the man continued to push.
Jim attempted to get down on his hands and knees and mop up the mucus and blood mixture now staining the shower tiles; until he felt the little secret loosely move in him, down lower, like water from flood gates. He jolted against the wall in a sitting position knees bent. Jim knew he couldn’t stay here, his gym class would soon be over and the other boys would soon be coming back in. When the contraction passed, Jim dragged the now saturated towel and placed it in the garbage can under some paper t
“Fine, fine! I’m not going to hurt him, I’m going to help.” Castiel stared at Dean with his head cocked, contemplating the sincerity of Dean’s words; Dean wanted to punch the angel for getting between Dean and his family. Finally, Castiel moved out of the way and went to crouch between Sam’s legs to check the progress. Dean kneeled by Sam’s head and wiped away tears and sweat with his hands.
Kim immediately stationed herself in between my legs, and I lurched back violently when I felt her prod at my birth canal with gently finger, but it seemed to make the pain worsen, and I gave a swift kick without thinking, knocking her off her balance.
This is a stand alone gay romance novel, 118,000 words, with a strong happy ending, as well as a well-crafted, non-shifter omegaverse, with alphas, betas, omegas, male pregnancy, heat, and knotting. Content warning for pregnancy loss and aftermath.
I don’t usually like stories that involve court cases or the law in general, but this book really held my attention. Kris (an omega) is tired of dates that go nowhere, but as soon as he’s about to take his profile off of the dating site, he sees a message from Jax, and they get along excellently. Just one problem, they’re both working on the same court case except Kris is the prosecutor, and Jax is the defense attorney, which…… Could be a Spoiler……..naturally results in conflict. I really enjoyed this story, and through the whole thing I kept wondering if the culprit was guilty or innocent. He was definitely a jerk, and sometimes I wanted Jax to reply to his ignorant remarks with snarky come -backs, but he didn’t. He was thinking them, but not saying them. Other than that I love reading about shifters and their romances. This one was very well written, and the characters fascinated me. I loved the ending and overall, this was an absolutely charming and captivating read.
Eggsy was used to being the ‘bit “o’ rough’. Used to being the pretty little omega that rich tits like to pluck outta the gutter and promise the moon to. All “bond with me and you’ll never work again”. Since only ten percent of the population were omegas and forty alphas it’s not surprising that those with money and power tried to buy them a pretty little piece like Eggsy to keep safe and pregnant… even if he were a bloke.
So why do I bring that up? Because I thought it was cool to see two characters going through similar adjustments, deal with them similarly and yet differently. To see situations dealt with slightly differently and because of that evoke different emotions from me. It showcases the authors talent in writing diverse and thoughtful characters. I also liked seeing Jax and Karter overcome Jax not being able to speak as they worked through their difficulties and getting to know each other. That was one of my pushed “buttons”. There were just so many aspects to the story I really liked. “Meeting” Jax and Karter and being reunited with everyone else. Seeing Jax and Karter come together. Seeing just how much Karter has evolved from Saved. And watching the story unfold anxiously wondering what was going to happen.
They had a good bit of privacy in the booth with no one seated around to see them, which he was glad for. It also made the poltergeist’s ability to levitate things and what appeared to be things levitating due to his holding it less likely to be seen. That, and Dionysus was glad that people couldn’t stare at his pregnant girth.
